Our holiday to Barcelona started with an emergency as we found out we didn’t have any locks for our cases……so a trip to Sainsbury’s to start off! That together with the fact that it was pouring down with the rain cascading down like a broken dam bode ill well for the start of our holiday! My daughter Cody was safely in the hands of my sister at least, so that was one thing that was not a worry!
East Midland airport is a very small airport with not many facilities but we did get through all the formalities quite quickly except for the fact that I did get a little peeved as the security asked me to remove my shoes but not my husbands!! Do I look like a terrorist! Lol !!
We did spend some time in the Duty free where I bought the white hat you see me wearing in my pictures…..a hat I have got to like immensely!
Once we got to Barcelona it was a fantastic difference to where we had come from! What a change from Walsall! Lol It’s a lovely and beautiful place to be and the weather was fantastic! The architecture is very different from England and I suppose the constant sunshine made us feel a lot better too!
All the staff at the hotel were so friendly and the food was gorgeous!
Drink is very cheap here and we did go to a few bars where I had the courage to get on the dance floor with hubby and it was good too! Wore my new hat! Lol
Just a word of warning! The sun was not like anything in England and you do need a good suntan lotion!
Tip: get a 2 day Bus tour ticket as it’s very informative!
